The president pardoned Tuesday a man still serving time in a federal prison for literally selling a US Senate seat to the highest bidder. If that’s what Trump can do, the next Democratic president can do one better: pardon 11 million immigrants.
I know that sounds reckless, and yeah, maybe it is, but it would do more good than harm. I outline some of those things in today’s edition of the Editorial Board.
The Editorial Board is a newsletter in which you will find, every business day, an essay on political events happening right now. The Editorial Board was founded on the idea that normal people can govern themselves if given information in plain English. It was founded on the idea that, together, citizens are the champions of the common good.
