Well that's all pretty much true but there was the instance when a fellow touted a paper which argued that peaceful demonstrations were more effective than violent ones in promoting justice or equality. This precipitated a storm which led his employer to fire him. I'm not calling that censorship but I do think it's messed up. In fact it is utterly bizarre that enunciating MLK's point of view would be considered racist. But it was. Closing our minds ain't useful. Now this fellow landed on his feet and perhaps his former employer eventually realized how foolish they looked (I certainly hope so) but we simply shouldn't go that route. As for actual censorship, well there have definitely been countries where leftists did this, in fact it appears to be occurring right now in Cuba. So that's not anywheres close to happening here but that's not a guarantee.
