I only pay attention to him because I did some (pre-internet) teleconferencing work for his campaign once back in the early 1990s. It was only notable because Ronald Reagan was there to endorse McConnell who was out of town at a fundraiser and couldn't attend in person (so he was piped in via satellite).
But yeah, he really sucks. These past 11 years especially. To put it bluntly. ;-)
McConnell is becoming unglued because he knows he has nothing without the filibuster as it is. The Grim Reaper is signalling that this is the way to end his reign of obstruction--and we MUST.
