The day Nixon resigned his approval rating was 27%. Currently, Trump’s approval hovers around the low 40’s. At this point, the best we can do is hope that 13% of voters defect and vote Democrat/Biden, or stay home in November. Can a slogan such as “Democracy v. Barbarism” be effective at doing that: luring voters away from Trump? I suppose it all depends on the messenger, right? Could Biden effectively do that? Will he even try? Assuming he tries will 13% of Republican voters even listen to him, or care?
I would add two more labels to describe today's GOP: Treason and Nihilism. Treason applies because they have betrayed both the word and the spirit of the country and Constitution while openly allowing hostile, foreign entities to interfere in our politics.
Nihilism applies because they aren't simply willing to take their ball and go home. They are willing to burn down the entire structure of our government and body politic if they can't impose their authoritarian and reactionary regime. Barbarism and nihilism go hand-in-glove in their plan to destroy democracy and America.

The republicans couldn’t even remember to help the first responders that have had health issues ever since ... fat chance that will change.
