I don’t begrudge anyone for needing legal representation, as it is obviously a pillar of the rule of law... but I think it’s not an accident that Trump chose a mob lawyer as counsel.

Has Cassidy spoken at all publicly about what triggered his change of mind? There's no particular reason to think all of the other 44 are exclusively lizard-brained, so maybe a few more might drift toward the light given sufficient cause...or maybe 30 of them will decide not to show up for the verdict, and conviction can be achieved by 50 votes...
