It's always funny to see the elite, preppy hardcore lefties (Robinson, Taibbi, et. al.) and the elite, preppy hardcore right-wingers (Carlson, Andrew Breitbart, et. al.) claim to speak for the working class, then scream "false consciousness" at the working class when the working class just wants to make an honest, dignified living. These clowns radiate the very arrogance and class disconnect they attack the Democratic party for.
Although Bernie Sanders didn't win the 2020 nomination, at least he understood that he could only enable his vision by reforming the political and economic system. By contrast, Greenwald, Carlson, and crew are cosplay revolutionaries who claim to want to overthrow the very system that enables them to sound revolutionary without any real risk to themselves and their families. They sound just like the highhanded communist and fascist U.S. and U.K. intelligentsia of the 1930's who extolled Stalin or Hitler while ignoring the brutal horrors of those regimes. I always thought little of those historical phonies and think the same way about their modern day counterparts.
