What a lot of people still don't or refuse to understand is that Officer Friendly easily becomes Mercenary Mike towards minority community members.
At some point, somebody will call the bluff of these cops and police unions by saying "You unlimited power and no accountability? Then you have ultimate responsibility for these incidents including criminal charges and settlement payments from your pension funds". When that day comes, I will weep with laughter although my tears will also be for another life snuffed out by out of control racist and authoritarian cops.
