"In this, I’m pretty sure I’m not alone"

Here's how I see it: most of #Cult45 has already publicly stated that they would never get vaccinated and would lie if asked. With that in mind? I don't see myself going mask-less in public, especially indoors when shopping, for some time.

I learned of Mounk and that he was a hypocritical ass when he pushed that Harper's cancel-culture letter and his right-leaning Persuasion journal that is fundamentally an implementation of virtue signaling.

It's amazing that people don't understand that being vaccinated doesn't mean you can't get infected and therefore infect others who are unvaccinated or otherwise vulnerable. That's the basic reason to continue wearing masks if you're fully vaccinated - to protect others even though you're already protected. This idea that wearing a mask is some form of virtue signaling, emotional weakness, or cowardice just shows how scientifically rotten and morally idiotic our society has become.

Being fully vaccinated reduces your chance of being infected considerably, but doesn't completely eliminate it.

But let's suppose, impossibly, that being fully vaccinated did completely eliminate any chance of being infected or being any sort of threat to anyone, including those who are immuno-compromised. Then if Yasha Mounk were an expert epidemiologist spreading the good word in a widely and readily accessed medium like a newspaper or news broadcast, that would be great. But of course that's not the case ... he's a pundit/polemicist writing in an obscure political journal (that he founded for just this sort of garbage), who is both telling people that they don't need to wear masks *and* that people who are still doing so are "virtue signaling". But he can't have it both ways ... either everyone already knows that they don't have to wear a mask, in which case he doesn't need inform them of that, or they don't know in which case they aren't "guilty" of virtue signaling. Of course in the real world there are numerous other reasons why vaccinated people still wear masks, and it's none of the business of arrogant intellectually dishonest creeps like Mounk.
