So, in 2001, the Democrats were trying to take away their jets? I'm being sarcastic, of course, but if this has been going on for 20 years, what are so-called conservatives getting out of these lies besides recruiting people on the fringe? Or is the mainstream GOP "forced" to embrace far-out people to keep their numbers? How much did Fox News, Limbaugh and the like tip the GOP toward the crazies by making up wilder and wilder stories to "own the libs?" I don't know if you have the answers, but I feel like the rabbit hole keeps getting more and more twisted.

Yes, oui, si, sic, etc. Republicans must apologize, admit the error of their ways, own up to their crimes against humanity. They must say they are sorry, they must repent, they must turn from their lying and resolve to be truthful and become people of integrity. They must be people who admit their mistake in ever even allowing #45 to be their candidate in 2016. Thankfully, I know some who are beginning to do the right thing.

The problem is that the political gains the GOP has gotten from lying have long outweighed the costs. Remember that Roger Ailes' original inspiration for what eventually became Fox "News" was because he believed that Nixon was drummed out of office because the supposedly liberal media controlled the narrative. Ailes vowed to do what he could to create a counter-narrative for his reactionary politics.

The Democrats must continually increase the political costs to the Republicans for their lying. The costs must be far greater than simply losing major elections. Instead, the GOP must be so thoroughly decimated that it never has any substantive relevance or power on a national or regional scale. If that means expelling seditionists from Congress and imposing aggressive legislative and executive branch actions for a powerful, liberal political agenda, so be it.

The GOP has become the party of treason, fascism, and anarchy and nothing more. Never forget - GOP Delenda Est.
