I'll add that the evidence is fairly overwhelming that Trump performed best among white middle class voters in rural areas and a number of suburbs. The reason was race. The focus on city is just more racial dogwhistling. The economic impetus dividing "rural makers" and "urban takers" is just more racial dog whistling.
