“The whole point of evangelicalism is that you get to constantly be persecuted,” said Chrissy Stroop2, “and you enjoy moral superiority from that.” Yep. The so called evangelicals must not realize that "evangelical" is the Latin spelling of the Greek word used in the New Testament that mean "good news". And the English translation of "evangelical" is "gospel" which means the truth Jesus teaches which means love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength and love your neighbor, viz. every person of every skin color, religion, national background, etc. as yourself, viz. as you are loved by God. So it seems the so called evangelicalists of today have turned good news into bad news. Sometimes I wonder how many of them have even read those Bibles they wave around.
Also, John, thanks for those other blogs you've recommended.
Excellent, as usual. But using "spayed" to describe what the House did to MTG doesn't sit right with me. She's a terrible person, but veterinary language (or, alternately, any language having to do with reproduction or its prohibition) makes me uncomfortable and sends the wrong message.

You're not the first person to say that. I'll do better next time. Promise.
Thanks for reading my comment! I really do enjoy your writing. You are the only substacker I read every day, without fail.
Me too
Oh wow!
