I say this often, but I think it's as true as could be. The disparity between who has guns emboldens these people. They get to go out and feel intimidating and trying to scare other citizens and our government leaders into giving in to their demands.
If we had AR-15s too, they couldn't just go out with an assault rifle, that only people on their side really have, and feel tough and safe. If they knew we all had big guns too, I do not believe they would be out there with a gun. They'd either stay home or leave the gun at home.
But instead, they get to go out and feel invincible and have their local government fearing armed rebellion. We can let them be the only side with giant guns and extended ammo mags. We need that shit too.
