There is that. I expressed my opinion of those who use "pro-life" as an occult phrase, as you put it. However, there are many who genuinely believe that opposing abortion is preserving human life. Perhaps they haven't fully thought through the ramifications, or have been unable to make their voices heard on what they feel should happen AFTER birth, or maybe just been too focused on one of their moral issues regarding life to pay adequate attention to the others.
Well, pandemics change everything. C19 IS A PRO-LIFE ISSUE. One thing that's been forgotten in all the arguments about death tolls and reopening is that C19 isn't just potentially deadly, but it also debilitates and cripples many of its survivors. How many and how badly we don't even know yet. It also warps the lives of those who love and take care of those who survive.
